Monday

Another good day here in Rome. We got up early and took a guided tour of The Vatican including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. No words can describe how amazing it was. Then we lounged by the hotel pool in the afternoon. We ended the night with another yummy dinner....and of course the gelato and limoncello:) Tomorrow we will tour the Coliseum.

Our holy crap post of the night!

So we are loving the hotel we are at but little did we realize what a deal we got, Thank you Hilton Honors Reward Points!!!! We just found out that the room we are in should be costing us $667 a night (we are here for 5 nights), but Thanks to Hilton the week is on them, PRICELESS!!!!!!

Well...the first leg of our trip has been amazing. But tomorrow morning it is so long to London and hello to Rome. London has treated us very well....especially The Big Bus, Henry's, the Abbey, and all the beautiful buildings (not so much the rude people that will plow you over on the sidewalks). Thanks London for a great 5 days!

Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Place.jpg

Today we went to Buckingham Palace (or as Mickey refers to it as the Castle) to see the changing of the guard. Afterwards we took a tour of the inside, it's a fairly small place there are only 700+ rooms. Unfortunately, we only were able to see about 20 of them but even worse we couldn't take any pictures. We can say that everything was absolutely amazing! Mickey liked seeing the wedding dress of Kate Middelton.

So....if you get the chance to see Shakespeare at the Globe say YES!!! Amazing! Plus Jeffrey (the butler from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) was in it. London tower was amazing too...it houses the Crown Jewels:)
